SandboxA sandbox is somewhere to play, and this term is usually applied to a website, or other environment, that has been set up to experiment with new ideas. The Practice Moodle people on this MOOC are using is an example of a Sandbox. | |
scaffoldingScaffolding is a method of supporting students to learn new concepts or deepen their understanding, helping them to the next level. Scaffolding students may involve modeling, provision of support resources, and utilising previous knowledge to help students link concepts. To learn more about scaffolding learning you could read works from Jerome Bruner, or Jesper Hoffmeyer. Reading up on Lev Vygotsky is also useful in understanding how scaffolding might be useful in education. | ||
