Pilgrimage

You are to design a pack for someone considering going on pilgrimage to Lourdes in the summer.  This pack needs to take the form of a brochure consisting of a number of pages which will contain good detailed information as well as pictures/photos to illustrate the information. Use the Lourdes website to help you.

You will need to include at least the following:

• Getting to Lourdes (where it is, different ways of getting there)
• Why people go on pilgrimage to Lourdes (what do people want from it)
• The Story of Lourdes (the story of Bernadette and the apparitions)
• An example of a Lourdes Miracle (a story of one miracle)
• The sites to visit in Lourdes - you’ll need to include at least the following:
  • The Baths
  • The Grotto
  • The Cachot
  • The Stations of the Cross
  • The Basilicas (the different large churches)
  • Bartres

• The events to take part in whilst you are there:
  • Torchlight Procession
  • Mass at the Grotto
  • Reconciliation Services
  • Blessed Sacrament Procession
  • International Mass in the Underground Basilica
  • Private prayer at the grotto

• Where to stay (research some accommodation – try to include different priced options)
• Where to find further information.
